To serve 4


  • 500g Clayton’s Organic Beef Mince
  • 1 large chopped onion
  • 1 large garlic clove, crushed
  • 1 cups of beef stock
  • 1/2 cup red wine
  • 1 can of diced tomatoes
  • 1 tbs of tomato paste
  • Olive oil
  • 250g spaghetti
  • Shaved parmesan cheese
  • Fresh basil leaves


  1. Heat olive oil in a saucepan over a medium heat and cook onions and garlic for 4-5 minutes. Increase heat to high, gradually add mince and cook until well browned.
  2. Add beef stock, red wine, diced tomatoes and tomato paste. Bring to the boil, then reduce the heat to low and simmer partially covered for 1 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Cook spaghetti in boiling, salted water until cooked. Drain. Serve the bolognaise with the pasta. Serve with grated parmesan and top with fresh basil, if desired.
